9 Wedding Day Make-Up Tips
For the brides-to-be things can get very stressful. We don’t want you to have to worry about looking absolutely beautiful on your big day, so here are 9 wedding day make-up tips.
If you’re hiring a make-up artist for your big day, make sure to run some trials! You don’t want there to be a big fall out on your wedding day because you and your make-up artist were not quite on the same page. Two trials is good to have before your wedding day, that way the first trial you can talk about what you like and what you don’t like. Second trial is to make sure your make-up artist understood you.
Take care of your skin
One thing many women forget to do on a regular basis is taking care of their skin. It’s very important to take care of you skin in general, but especially leading up to your wedding day. On your wedding day, don’t use too many oily products, especially before priming your face.
It’s essential to use primer on your face before any other make-up on your wedding day. Primer will even out your skin tone and provide a nice base for the rest of your make-up to last all day and all night. Just what a bride needs!
Using an eyebrow pencil will frame your eyes for pictures and just make them pop perfectly! It’s good to choose a shade or two lighter than your natural color so they don’t appear too dark and stand out too much on your wedding day.
Wearing fake lashes on your wedding day will give you big, captivating, sexy eyes. Fake lashes are perfect for days when you are going to be taking lots of pictures, like on your wedding day J
Waterproof mascara is a must for every bride on her wedding day! There will most likely be at least a few tears shed (of happiness, of course) and you don’t want your make-up running and ruining your beautiful face, especially before your pictures! Apply waterproof mascara to your natural eyelashes before adding fake lashes to make your natural lashes appear more full and to blend in with the fake lashes.
Keep a Make-Up Bag Close By
It’s definitely a good idea to keep a make-up bag close by on your wedding day. Give it to someone you trust who will always be near when needed. Keep essentials for touch-up, like: lipstick, mascara, powder and a make-up brush.
Plan for Plenty of Time
Make sure you give yourself more than enough time to get ready on your wedding day. Anything can go wrong and it’s better to be safe than sorry. (I had a little false lash issue and ran 30 minutes over time, causing the ceremony to start late!)
