Unless you’ve been living under a rock I’m sure you’ve heard the term ‘glazed doughnut’ when referring to skin. Hailey Beiber coined this term on her YoutTube channel where she stated “My standard when I go to bed at night is that if I’m not getting into bed looking like a glazed donut, then I’m not doing the right thing,” This basically refers to making sure your skin has such hydrating products on it that it resembles a glazed texture. The result of doing this every night before bed? Waking up with luminous dewy hydrated baby soft skin.

I tried this every night for a week and let me tell you it works, I’m addicted and now I cannot go to bed unless I resemble a glazed donut. Want to try it too? Here is the best way to do it:

Step 1: Cleanse your skin with a hydrating cleanser

By hydrating cleanser I mean a cleanser that does not foam up as this will strip your skin of its natural oils and dry it out. I love the Sukin cream cleanser of A Bit Hippy oil cleanser.

Step 2: Use a hydrating serum

Gently press a hydrating serum into your face. I love the Bluem Finger Lime serum or the Go-To Much Plumper Skin serum, they’re both affordable and super hydrating.

Step 3: Put on a thick moisturizer

Then lather on a hydrating thick preferably night cream like Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream.

Step 4: Lock that moisture in

This is my favorite step and the step that will turn you into a glazed goddess. Get a thick balm or even Vaseline and lather it all over your face to lock in all the goodness you’ve just put on your face. I love using Weleda Skin food.

Now you’re all glazed up, go to bed and you’ll wake up feeling like a dewy hydrated goddess.
