4 Ingredient Healthy Apple Crumble
If you need to whip together a quick, easy but impressive dessert in very little time then this Apple Crumble is the perfect recipe. It’s also really healthy so you won’t feel sick or guilty after it.
4 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp Maple Syrup or your choice of sweetener
3/4 cup walnuts (almonds, cashews or macadamia nuts would also work)
Coconut yoghurt or natural Greek yoghurt (optional)
Place the nuts, 1 tablespoon of the honey and 2 teaspoons of the cinnamon into a food processor and blend until the nuts are roughly chopped and the mixture has combined, then set aside.
Thinly slice the apples and either cut into strips or leave them round (I did a mixture of both). In a frypan heat some butter or grape seed oil then toss in the apple slices with the rest of the cinnamon and honey. Stir around for about 4 minutes until the apple is golden.
Serve the apples between two small bowls, top with the nut mixture and enjoy! This tastes great on its own or with yoghurt.
