The Negative Impact Sugar & Soda Have On Your Body
So by now you’ve probably heard about how bad sugar is for your body. If you haven’t here is a quick run down of just some of the effects consuming too much processed sugar has on your body and health:
- Weight gain
- Causes tooth decay
- Can cause liver damage
- It can cause type 2 diabetes
- Sends your hormones out of whack
- It’s an inflammatory which means your body won’t be able to heal injuries or illness as quickly
- It raises your cholesterol and can cause heart disease
There are many foods out there that are high in sugar such as doughnuts, white bread, pasta, alcohol and lollies just to name a few. One of the most consumed high sugary food and beverages is soda (soft drinks) like Coke, Sprite, Fanta and Pepsi. Not only are soft drinks extremely high in sugar which is bad enough, they are also full of lots of preservatives and other nasties that are not good for you at all.

Hopefully this will inspire you to cut down your soda intake or cut it out all together and replace it with healthy drinks such as green juice, kombucha, water infused with lemon juice and healthy smoothies.
